Top Hat strives to meet the needs of its employees and customers with disabilities and is working hard to remove and prevent barriers to accessibility. We are committed to fulfilling our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). This multi-year plan outlines the steps Top Hat is taking to remove barriers for people with disabilities and help make Ontario an accessible province for all Ontarians.

Recruitment & Employment

Top Hat is committed to fair and accessible employment practices. Top Hat publically notifies potential hires that accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.

We notify all employees that support is available for those with disabilities and have put in place a process to develop individual accommodation plans and return-to-work plans for employees. Our performance management, career development and redeployment processes take into account the accessibility needs of all employees.

Training & Customer Service

Top Hat is committed to providing accessible training in the requirements of Ontario’s accessibility laws and the Ontario Human Rights Code as it applies to people with disabilities. Top Hat is planning to continue in order to comply with the Customer Service Standard by providing annual AODA training and refreshers to all staff.
