Essentials of General Chemistry Lab (Hybrid)
Donna McGregor, Gabriela Smeureanu, Melissa Deri, Pamela Mills
This laboratory course is designed to supplement an Essentials of General Chemistry lecture course (or any lecture course for non-science majors). It is often used as the laboratory for pre-nursing and nutrition students. The course has been designed with laboratory experiments that employ a "puzzle solving” inquiry-based approach to include inquiry-based thinking and build self-efficacy into the curriculum. Every laboratory experiment also contains a segment that links the content to Human Health in an attempt to make the connection between the science and our everyday lives. This format of the course is intended to be used for an in-person or hybrid laboratory course.
