What are

Remote Classrooms

Remote classrooms refer to learning environments where students and their instructors are not in the same space. To replace traditional educational tools and activities, an online classroom is required for an accessible learning environment. However, there are many tools available to mimic the traditional classroom.

Remote classrooms are often relied on by higher education institutions when face-to-face instruction cannot take place. There are two traditional modes of remote classroom instruction, synchronous learning and asynchronous learning. Synchronous learning allows for greater engagement but is less flexible. Asynchronous learning is more flexible to students’ individual schedules, but there is less collaboration.
