What is
Remote Proctoring
Remote proctoring enables students to write a test in a remote location, while maintaining the integrity of the test. Students must confirm their identity and they may be monitored through video. This video is then used to flag any irregular student behaviour. Remote proctored tests can be taken from anywhere, as long as a student has access to a device with WiFi.
Remote proctoring occurs in remote environments, where students are monitored online when writing a test. Remote proctoring has three categories: live online proctoring, recorded proctoring, and advanced auto proctoring. Live online proctoring is where students are monitored live, where proctors are able to disable a test immediately following suspicious activity. Recorded proctoring is where images and log data are filed for proctors to review later. Advanced auto proctoring is where the software detects irregularities, which proctors may review as, and if, needed.
