What is
Self-Paced Learning
Self-Paced Learning refers to one of four elements of integral self-evaluations — in addition to neuroticism, self-efficacy, and self-esteem. It can also predict several professional outcomes including job performance and job satisfaction with a high degree of accuracy. Some see this as a personality trait that an individual is born with, but there is some evidence that it is also shaped by events an individual experiences in childhood.
Self-Paced Learning refers to a way to allow students to customize their learning environment to fit their individual needs as learners. It also shows trust in allowing them to design their own learning, gives them a sense of accountability and responsibility for their academics, boosts confidence in their choices and allows me to give direct, immediate feedback to each student at least once a day.
