Philosophy of Teaching
Philosophy of teaching is the branch of practical philosophy concerned with the philosophical issues arising from educational theory and teaching practices. The major philosophies of education can be divided into three main types: teacher-centered philosophies, student-centered philosophies, and society-centered philosophies.
Philosophy of teaching refers to fundamental philosophical analysis of pedagogical and personal approaches to teaching and learning. Its subject matter can include both basic philosophical issues, such as the state of educational justice and critiques of practical issues such as standardized testing or the social, economic and legal implications of school funding.
