What is a
Minute Paper
A minute paper is a type of essay that is done in just a minute. Students are given a topic to write about after a section is completed in class or at the end of a lecture period. During this time period, they have to write about a specific topic. Normally, teachers ask students to write about the topic of the lesson for that particular day. Later on, the teacher can read through the essays to figure out what students have absorbed during the class and which areas where they are struggling to understand.
A minute paper refers to a short assignment that instructors can use to measure what students are learning in each class. Often, teachers will ask students to write down the three major things they learned during the lesson or the most confusing part of the lecture. After reading through the answers, the teacher can respond online or in class with new information and clarifications.
