What is a
Lab Course
A lab course is a smaller, individual course component that supplements larger lectures. Labs allow for hands-on, practical exposure to subject matter. For instance, a biology lab may require students to dissect a frog and record the results in a journal.
A lab course allows for in-depth observation, participation, experimentation or practice. Often, the instructors who teach lectures will also teach the lab component of a course. Labs generally include working in small groups on a practical project.
