What is an
Interim Assessment
An interim assessment is a periodic assignment used to evaluate students’ learning progress. These assessments, usually every few weeks, determine whether students are on the right path through checking students’ understanding. Interim assessments may help identify certain topics that students struggle to understand and can also be used to compare data across courses, states or schools to track the academic progress of certain demographics.
An interim assessment may include regularly assigned evaluations used to measure your students’ growth, identify patterns in your students’ learning habits and see your students’ progress towards milestones. The results of interim assessments are used to ensure grade-level performance across schools.
