What are
Experiential Learning
Experiential learning is the process of learning through experience, or “learning through the reflection on doing.” It is the application of theory and academic content to real-world experiences, either within the classroom, within the community, or within the workplace, which advances program or course-based learning outcomes that are specifically focused on employability skills.
Experiential learning refers to a philosophy that informs many methodologies. This approach encourages educators to purposefully engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection. The ultimate goal of these learning experiences are to increase knowledge, develop skills, clarify values, and develop people’s capacity to contribute to their communities.
