What is
Cooperative Learning
Cooperative learning is where students work with one another and alongside their instructors to accomplish mutually defined goals. Students work in small groups to maximize their own and each other’s learning. Students are given the chance to capitalize on each other’s resources and skills to collectively solve academic problems presented in class.
Cooperative learning is where teachers become facilitators of peer-to-peer learning. Elements of cooperative learning involve positive interdependence, individual and group accountability, face-to-face interaction, interpersonal social skills and group processing skills.
