Comprehension Check
Comprehension check is where an instructor informally assesses their students’ comprehension across a course. These checks are used to ensure students understand a concept or unit before an instructor proceeds to new course material.
Comprehension check is where students are evaluated to ensure that they understand an instructional unit in a course. Instructors are then given an opportunity to modify their future instruction based on students’ responses. Comprehension checks can come in the form of an exit slip, think-pair-share exercises, and problem solving exercises.
