What are

Collaborative Summaries

Collaborative summaries are a group activity where students work together to write an academic summary of an article or concept as a way of reflecting on their learning. Students work collaboratively, each contributing one or two sentences to the summary. Other group members can check for clarity of ideas and proper grammar and vocabulary use.

Collaborative summaries refer to a common homework assignment for students as a way of reflecting on their in-class learning experiences. This can also follow a think-pair-share methodology, where students share their summaries with a partner or small group.
