Associate Provost
Associate provost is the umbrella term for academic administrators within a variety of departments at a university. These departments may include health, human resources, students, and equity and academic policies.
Associate provost are faculty members in the provost’s office who represent a variety of non-academic departments. At some institutions, the associate provost may be the Vice-Provost. The responsibilities of the associate provost depends on which department they are part of. For instance, the Associate Provost for Equity and Academic Policies is responsible for creating and renewing academic procedures.
