What are

Action Learning Sets

Action learning sets are structured learning methods that allow small groups to address complex issues by meeting regularly to develop solutions. This method is geared towards learning and personal development at professional and managerial levels. It is most often used for work-based projects and issues that members of the set are facing.

Action learning sets are part of a cyclical process that gives each member of the group an opportunity to present an issue to be solved and comment on the issues other members are facing. It improves problem-solving skills, as well as questioning and listening skills. When tackling complex tasks, participants are able to learn from others’ best practices in facing similar challenges to most effectively solve their own problems.
