What is a
Student Response System
A student response system (SRS) allows instructors to gather real-time feedback during lectures through digital polls and questionnaires. SRSs can be used for attendance, discussions and evaluating course content. Examples of SRSs include iClicker and Top Hat. Some SRSs are free while others require a subscription or licensing fee.
A student response system refers to an instant method of gathering student feedback in the classroom. SRSs create a comfortable environment where students can participate on their own terms and can increase student interaction, especially in large lectures. SRSs increase student participation due to the anonymous nature of the questions and provide students with a way to compare their level of understanding with that of their peers.
