Overview

The purpose of this book is to provide a concise primer for the beginning scientist and a solid first step on the road to becoming a successful scientific researcher. It provides a basic understanding of the philosophy of science as well as the mechanics of carrying out scientific research. Although the principles covered are applicable to both the social and natural sciences, it is designed specifically with the natural sciences in mind.
